Sister Jenkins was born in the year 1839; died September 29, 1916; joined the church at Mills River by experience and baptism, which relation she sustained until her death.
We trust that the passing of Sister Jenkins results in her gain and that she is at rest. Resolved that we in humble submission bow to the will of our Heavenly Father and that this memorial be spread on our church record.

            Obituary of Brother H. L. Jenkins

Brother Jenkins was borned on the 16th of June 1833. Joined the Baptist church at Mills River by experience October 15th 1859 and lived a member of the same untill the day of his death which took place on the 27th day of January 1890. Brother Jenkins was at his death 57 years old and had bin a member of the church 31 years. Brother Jenkins last illness was of only about one week. He died to all apearances in the triumph of the Christin Religion and we trust that our loss is his eternal gain. Resolve that we as a church bow with humble submission to the will of the great captain of our salvation in this dispensation of his Provedence for he doeth all things well. Resolved that we tender our simpathies to the bereft family and friends of the decesed.

Obituary of Sister M. J. Jenkins.

Sister Jenkins was born December 24th, 1865. Joined the Baptist Church at Mills River in the month of October 1878 by experience. She lived a member of the same untill the day of her death which occured on the 20th day of January 1890. she was at her death 25 years old and had lived a member of the church 12 years. The young sister had bin an invalid for a long while. She bore her sufferings with submission and Christian fortitude and we trust that our loss is her eternal gain. May the Lord bless the bereft family and friends of the decesed and help them to willingly submit to the Divine will of him who gave life and sent death. Resolve that we as a church extend to the family of the decesed Sister our sincere simpathy in their loss. Resolve that we with humble submission bow to the divine will of the great head of the church knowing that he doeth all things will.

R. B. Allison, 91, Succumbs

County Native to be Buried Tuesday at Mills River

Robert Burgin Allison, 91, a native and lifelong resident of Henderson County, died today at Patton Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
The funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Mills River Chapel with Revs. T. A. Groce and W. R. Rufty officiating. Burial will be in the cemetery there and grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The body will be at Shepherd Funeral Home until the funeral hour.
Mr. Allison was the son of the late williamson and Connie Burgin Allison.
He is survived by five sons, C. R. Allison of Concord, R. W. and T. B. of Horse Shoe, G. W. of Etowah and W. C. of Lake Lure; one daughter, Mrs. C. P. Willimon of Horse Shoe; 22 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
