I am researching the following families in Cass, Scott, and Morgan County Illinois. Jesse SMITH and Fanny REESE: Both born in North Carolina (or Kentucky); their children born in Wilson Co, TN. This family moved to Morgan Co Illinois in 1824 (became Scott Co. In 1839) Jonathan W. GREEN, born 1815 in Ohio, lived in Shelby Co, Indiana, married Susan Miller there. Lived in Monroe County, Illinois before moving to Scott County in the 1860's. Daughter Melissa married Conrad GLANCER or GLANZER, born 1/6/1834 in Germany. Jonathan Green's path parallels that of his brother William who married Rebecca Fischer in Monroe County Illinois. Nicholas DUVALL b. 1799 VA, lived in Ohio Co KY, Morgan/Scott IL, Macon Co MO, and Multnomah Co OR. Daughter Lucinda Jane DUVALL (10/13/1821), m. Drury (son of Jesse) Smith in Illinois in 1839. Born in KY. Thomas BINGE b. Sheffield England 5/13/1834 m. Martha Polite, b. 6/21/1844 in Illinois. She was the daughter of Robert POLITE, b. Delaware 1805 and Elisabeth Vesey md. 1834 Pickaway Co OH. John Henry Carls, born in Germany and father of Elizabeth Carls who married Charles Meyer in Cass County Illinois, son of Karl Heinrich Meyer, also a German immigrant.
