Conor Skramstad Kesead's Family

We are looking for info. on John Kesead who came here through Ellis Island from Poland or Hungary around 1899 at possibly the age of 10. He was sent here by his parents and was to meet someone but that person never showed so very little info. was remembered by John Kesead because he was a small boy who spoke no English. There is speculation as to whether or not he had a tattoo encircling his wrist with a star and possibly his real name. We would like to know what this means. His wife Sophie Coke came from Poland and that is all we know of her.
