My Family Tree file may be viewed on (see CD # 15- 3233). I have some old photographs of the HARPER,SLAUGHTER,MATTOX,SMITH and LOFLIN lines.

I am especially interested in anyone you can help me locate a lead on JOHN HAPRER b. circ 1817-28 NC, d. after 1860. Serverd in the Civil war (side unknown ). Last seen on the 1850 census in Overton Co. TN. He is listed with his wife ELIZABETH CATHERINE CAMPBELL b. circ. 1817-28 NC, died Hardin Co. KY 1887. Children: John Calvin (b. 1847), Elijah (April 1850), Thomas (1852), Sarah (b. (who is believed to have married a man named SIDWELL), and Alvin (b. 1858). All children are said to be born in TN, according to census records.
