* Clyde Slavin Family Page*

Updated September 6, 2000

The Slavin family that I am a part of are also tribal members of the Citizen Potawatomie Nation. James and Thomas Slavin with several brothers and sisters came to the United States in the 1840's. Most of the family apparently immigrated to the St. Louis area and eastern Kansas. My records are mostly of James' and Thomas' descendants, their brothers and sisters are missing so far from the search.
My grandmother was Della Ott. She was possibly a descendent of the Cherokee Nation. Her parents were George William Ott and Nancy Easley.

My mother's father was John Washington Ruble who was born in Lebanon, Missouri on 10-4-1877. He married Maud May Nixon. I have received several generations of info. on the Nixon branch back to Absalom Nixon born 1757 in Virginia.

Personally, I have been more interested in knowing who my living relatives are than finding my ancestors. If you have any information relating to families above I would appreciate being able to add exchange data.
