Researching Slattery Family members that emigrated to U.S.A.1850-1950 from Clogheen/Ballylooby/Cahir and sorrounding area of South Tipperary.
Also researching Tobin Family from same area. Maurice Tobin,a
decendant of one of these emigrants became Mayor of Boston,
Governor of Mass.,and Sec.of Labour in Pres. Truman's Government.
He died circa 1953. Tobin Bridge in Boston is named after him.
Any information appreciated.
