I am researching the Rufus S. Slaughter family. His wife's name was Mattie Patterson and they had 4 children; Moses Buckingham Salter, Inez Etheline, Theodore B. and Rufus (Jim). Rufus S. was an AME Preacher.
I am also researching the Abe Williams Family. In 1900 he and his wife, Eliza, were 34 years old and had been married for 17 years. They had 8 children at that time; Ida, Henry, Carrie, Robert, Leila, Cora, Abe and Jeff. There were a total of 12 children adding Roberta, Claudia, Annie Mae and Earline.
These two families are tied in marriage by Moses and Claudia. Both families resided in Texas in San Saba (Williams) and Lexington (Slaughter).
