| I am researching the Slavin family surname. I know no earlier ancestor than John Slavin, who was born in North Carolina in 1757, and was a veteran of the Revolutionary War. He moved to Garrard County, Kentucky in the late 1700's or early 1800's,and died in 1851. He was buried in Paint Lick Cemetary, Paint Lick, Kentucky. His wives were Elizabeth Graham and Catherine Pattron. He had nine children, some or all by his first wife, Elizabeth. I am working on the following surnames: Surnames, regions, dates: Slavin: NC>Garrard Co.,Ky>Schuyler Co.,Mo.>1757-now Hardin: Sussex Co.,NJ>Washington Co.,Ia.>Schuyler Co.,Mo. 1750-1961 Snook: Pa>Schuyler Co.,Mo. 1800-1952 Neeley: Oh>Mo 1821-1924 Hale: Va>Tn>Mo 1620-1925 Munsell:Oh>Mo 1828-1952 Everett:Ia 1844-1901 Fincher:Tn>Mo 1821-1924 Terrill:Eng>Va>Tn>Mo 1658>1850 Lightner:Pa>Tn>Mo 1800-1891 |
