| Looking for information from families with the surnames SLUSS, SCHLOSS, SLOAS and SCHLOSSER. Came to the United States as SCHLOSSER around 1732 and settled in Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia. Later moved west to Kentucky and Indiana. Started research in Southwest Virginia area and have some information on Maryland and Pennsylvania. Willing to share information with any other researchers on these names. All descendants of the immigrant Peter Schlosser will be interested to know that a Foundation is being formed to preserve the historic church cemeteries in Sharpsburg, MD. Peter's headstone is one of the few which still stands and is still legible. All those who join the Foundation will be furnished with a packet on the Schlosser family activities in that area. When the non-profit status has been obtained I will provide further information to all interested persons. Please email me if you would like to be notified when the Foundation is ready to accept memberships. |
