      323. Ann Beeson, born May 30, 1749 in Hopewell, Frederick County, VA; died December 17, 1812 in Pendleton District, SC. She was the daughter of 646. Benjamin Beeson, Sr. and 647. Elizabeth Hunter.

Notes for James Washington Fisher, Sr.:
Soldier in the MD Line who lived in Caroline Co. MD, at the time of his enlistment. He raised a crop in Lincoln Co. NC in 1783. His second wife was Nancy EVINS (or EVANS).

Our Rev. War. James, buried at Lake Toxaway was recognized as a Rev. War soldier by the D.A.R. and has a plaque which they put up on his grave.

prior to his death a great many years, that they were recognized as man
and wife and she was always considered a true and loving wife of the
said James Fisher..."

Notes for West Patterson:
West PATTERSON was in Edgefield District, SC in the 1820 census. By 1828 he
was in this area of modern Transylvania County. He signed an 1828 petition
for the formation of Macon County. In 1830 he was enumerated in Buncombe
County, and in 1840 was listed on the Macon County census. He died in the
1840's. His widow Frances was listed on the 1850 census with several
children. In 1851 this area became Jackson County, and the family was
listed on the 1860 Jackson County census.

West PATTERSON (c1784/90) was listed on the 1810 Edgefield Dist, SC census. In 1828 he signed the Petition of Haywood Co, NC residents asking for the creation of Macon County. In 1830 he was listed in Buncombe Co, NC. In 1840 he was in Macon Co, NC. He apparently lived in the small section of southern Transylvania County near the Toxaway River. This area was part of Buncombe Co, NC from 1791 until 1808 when Haywood was formed. This area was also claimed by Walton County, GA for a short time. In 1828 Macon County was formed and included this area. In 1851 Jackson County was formed and took this area. In 1861 Transylvania County was formed and this area fell into that county. West might be a
brother of Peter PATTERSON (c1794) of SC, Haywood and Cherokee Co, NC. Another brother of West might be an Asa PATTERSON of whom nothing else is known.
