1.JAN1MORRIS (Source: marriage records of Dutch Church, New York City.) died Unknown. He married MARRITJEHERMANS 30 Nov 1659 in New Amsterdam Dutch Church, New York City (Source: New Amsterdam Dutch Reformed Church-NYC, date of marriage given.). She died Unknown.
Notes for JANMORRIS: It has been suggested that John(Jan) Maris/Morris and Marretje Hermans were the parents of Jury(George) Morris who married Frena Hanse Harty(Hartje). The evidence seems good but not proved. according to the Dutch naming pattens the first girl in the family of suggested son Jury is named Geerty after the mother of Frena Harty and the first son is named Jan(John) and we see the second daughter being named Marretje and the second son being named Hanse Jacob. This would then include all four grandparents. The timing and dates are compatible and for these reasons I have put Jan and Marretje Hermans Morris as parents until proved right or wrong. although the Morris line doesn't seem to have the name George evident, especially in my line, David Morris, but some of the other children of Jury and Frena did use the name Jurien.
Jan Mauits-England and Marritjen Hendricks(?)Hermans? from Amsterdam married Nov 30 1659 at the New Amsterdam Dutch Reformed Church. Later on 5 April 1662; they had a son born called Jorisun 5 April 1662 with Herman Snyman and Engel Burg as sponsors. Child of JANMORRIS andMARRITJEHERMANS is:
