1. WILLIAM CARL¹ DOEBLER, SR. was born May 15, 1838 in Coblenz, Germany, and died April 10, 1918 in Macomb Co., MI. He married FREDERICKA PLOEGER, daughter of JOHN PLOEGER and ? FESTONS. She was born January 18, 1841 in Coblenz, Germany, and died January 15, 1910 in Detroit, MI.

Notes for WILLIAM CARL DOEBLER, SR.:
The Doebler family migrated from Germany in the late 1860's. They acquired a 20 acre farm just west of Meininger's on the north side of 14 Mile Rd, 30 acres on the south side. In November of 1892, the Doebler's sold and moved to Detroit. William Sr. went to Detroit with his son and his family. Bill Doebler had a grocery-meat market on Columbia near Gratiot. In 1920 he sold the market, retired and shared a home with his son Edward at 5139 Pennsylvania, Detroit.
