My grandmother's family uses both Mclendon and McClendon-mostly East Texas around Cherokee county,Cuney-Henderson county,Mabank-Kaufman county,Kemp. ancestors were from Alabama.Fannie McClendon(1914-1974)-Lee (LEM) Mclendon(1866-1931) Dan Mclendon-born in Ala. Margerett Mclendon (Walker). My Ggrandfather, Lemuel Mcclendon had eight other siblings: Aaron,John, Harry, George, Caroline, Emily, Lou, and Austin. Caroline married Willie Bragg, the oldest son of Andy Bragg who was the first settler in Cuney,Tx. Emily later moved to Omaha,Nebraska. I am searching for the Following surnames: Bragg,McClendon, Kisentiner. They all moved from Alabama to Tx in the 1870's
