Sarah was the third child of Walter Griggs and Elizabeth Jarman, probably the second born at Assington. She worked as a servant at Assington Hall before her marriage to Israel Warner in 1873 and bore him eleven children. She died in the influenza epidemic of 1917/18 at Assington.
