Great Grandfather Ernest was born in Felsham and it was to Felsham he returned to be laid to rest in the churchyard. He was the only one of my great-grandparents to go to the The Great War: he was on the Somme when the first tanks rolled out into combat. His nickname was "Tom" and for a long time I thought that it was his given name. Ernest was the son of Harry Wright and Elizabeth Moss (who appears in another picture on this website).
