My 10 greats grandfather John LONG is the earliest of my ancestors with a known grave. He died in 1708 aged 78, and his grave is marked with this slowly crumbling headstone, which still has a legible inscription - "Here lyeth the body of John Long, who dyed March 28th 1708 aged 78 years." Wife - Mary BALLS who predeceased him in 1696, two children - John (my ancestor) and Mary.
