Generation No. 2

2. HENRY G.² MUNDY (LARKIN¹) was born 28 February 1817 in Indiana, and died 29 December 1888 in Kansas. He married (1) LYDIA MUNDY 27 October 1842. She died 14 February 1847. He married (2) SARAH S. POWELL 31 May 1849, daughter of LEWIS POWELL. She was born 19 August 1825 in Virginia, and died 06 August 1880 in Kansas.

Notes for HENRY G. MUNDY:
As mentioned earlier in the sketch about his father, Larkin, they were living in Fayette Co., southwest of Connersville at the time of the 1820 census. They moved to Marion Co., about 1823. On 27 Oct 1842 he married 1st Lydia Mundy, daughter of Henry S. Mundy (she was a first cousin). She died 14 Feb. 1847, aged 23 years, 2 months and 6 days. The two children were living with their grandparents (Lydia's parents) at the time of the 1850 census. The children were Margaret and Henry W.

In 1862, he purchased 65 acres of land in Sec. 27 of Wabash Twp., Clark Co., Ill., and moved there. In 1864 he purchased an adjoining 80 acres in Sections 26 and 27. In the 1870 census of Clark Co., he and his wife and three sons were enumerated at home on 27 July. He sold this land in 1870 to Chapin & Jones and moved to Kansas. Chapin & Jones laid out the village of McKeen and erected a large steam factory. They cut timber from this land and milled it, employing a hundred men or more.~2.

After stopping for a short time in northeastern Kansas in the fall of 1870, Henry G. & his family moved to Washington Twp. of Howard Co., Kansas, which later became Chautauqua Co., Kansas. He and Sarah are buried in the Lone Star Cemetery, Hale, Kansas.

	ii.		HENRY W. MUNDY, b. Abt. 01 January 1846; d. 21 May 1853.

3. SQUIRE² MUNDY (LARKIN¹) was born 1815 in Fayette, Co., Ind.. He married SARAH SANDERS 03 October 1838 in Marion Co., Ind. She was born 1819 in Ohio.
