Notes for Mary M. Dean: letter dated 1-25-80 from Mary dean Hazen to Lois Patterson Lindsey "Dear Lois, I was glad to hear that you and Clif are impriving. You really celebrated Christmas with a bank. I celebrated flat on my back, eyes closed and the world going around and around. I began to walk with help at end of two weeks. Made good progress for about a week and now I am more or less standstill. My balance needs a new balancing wheel. I'm satisfied here at N. Home. Care is good, food is good, interest abundant. With all the time on my hand, I'm getting up to bow, history of family, ready to go to Archives in Montgomery. I', including the background of Dean Family to you for Margaret. This is copy of what I sent to Archives in Atlanta. Kitty is still in GA. One day she says she is coming home after 6th of Feb. The next time she writes, she does not know when she will come home. That is Kitty. It grieves me to think about Lula being like she is but I try to think that she is not suffering. I know she is being cared for. I wish i could see her. It would not make me feel any better I fear. My folks did not want me to see Mr. Bowden who is here in the home. I decided I would see him anyway. I got Dot to push or roll me to him this PM and I must say it was not uplifting. I'm making a large crewel piece which keeps my hands busy and I'm working some on family history. One thinkg I'm not doing is hurrying. I find it nice to have breakfast in bed and I do enjoy being free from respnsibilities. I'll probably get lazy. I hope Clif will soon get over his jolt and you also. It could have been worse. If you have a snapshot of your get-together please send me. I like to keep up with everyone. Love to all Mary |
