Joseph Aubrey McDonald, son of the late Aubrey McDonald and Gilley Mae (Mooney) McDonald, was born June 29, 1925 in Rondo, AR. He departed this life on Monday morning, July 13, 1998, at 1:07 AM at the Veterans Administration Rehabilitation Center in Marion, IL. At the time of his passing, Joseph had attained the age of 73 years and 15 days.
Joseph was united in marriage to Mary (Speckem) McDonald-Furgeson. She resides in Goreville, IL. He later married Patsy (Bell) McDonald. She resides on Castle Rock, WA. Joseph was then united in marriage to Audrey (Jones) McDonald. She preceded him in death.
Survivors include: 4 Sons- Aubrey Junior McDonald of Grand Rapids, Mich., Denny McDonald of Virginia, Joseph (Jody) McDonald of Lowell, IN., & Alan McDonald of Beaverton, OR; 4 Daughters- Linda Cook of Goreville, IL., Tandra Smith of Castle Rock, WA., Susan Sims of St. Charles, MO., & Patricia McDonald of Castle Rock, WA; 11 Grandchildren; 5 Great-Grandchildren; 1 Brother- Darrell McDonald of Arkansas; 3 Nephews; 1 Niece; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
In addition to his parents and wife, Audrey, Joseph was preceded in death by: 2 Sons- James Merell McDonald and Scott Aubrey McDonald; A Grandson- Donald Ray Cook; and a Brother- Bob McDonald.
Joseph was employed as an electrician for US Steel in Gary, IN. He retired January 31, 1978. Joseph was a US Army Veteran, having served in the Pacific Theatre of operation during World War II. Joseph was an avid outdoors man and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Joseph leaves to cherish his memory, his family & many friends.
