Jesse W. and Daniel Jarvis Franklin went to Collin County Texas around 1840. Jesse moved to Parker County.
Dolores's information: Was in the Mexican War. He died and was Buried in Springtown, Texas.
Dolores's information: "Guess you have the information from the Peter's Colony about Jesse W. Franklin, and his brother Daniel Jarvis Franklin? Also the Mexican WAr recors and Civil War record?" She found Jesse on the 1850 Collin County census with the Fitzhugh family--on the 1860, 70, 80 & 1900 census in Parker. She ws told that Jesses farm was 2 or 3 miles North and West of Springtown and she drove out to that area but without a map, deed record, etc. we coudlnt find it.
Dolores's Information (5/24/99): Jesse W. was in the Mexican War from May 30, 1846 to September 5, 1846. He was a Private in Co. C, 3rd Texas Mounted Volunteers under Col. William C. Young, Capt. Daniel Montague's Co. He enlisted in the Civil War Feb. 1, 1864, served 25 days, was 4th Sgt. in Co. C. Parker County., 1st Frontier Dist, under Major, William Quayle, Cmdg. TST, Capt. Joseph Ward.
MEXICAN WAR PENSION RECORDS
Jesse Franklin, a Private of Col William C. Young (Capt Montague's company) Company C, 3rd Regiment, Texas was enrolled on th May 30, 1846 at Fannin County for 6 months and was mustered out September 5, 1846 a Private at San Antonio Texas. He was honorably discharged. During his service he went ot Presidio Del Norte, Mexico and was ordered back to San Antonio where he was discharged.
Mexican War Pension Records: Buried by the Masonic Fraternity in the Springtown Cemetery.

Dolores's Information: she is buried in Springtown, Texas. On the 1900 census Harriet was listed as the mother of 11 children--9 alive, so apparently there was one more child. Daniel Caleb told one of his daughters that there wer seven boys in this family.
