Herbert and Ida Smyser had fourteen children. There were five boys and nine girls. The oldest, Maxine Huston lives in Phoenix, AZ as does her brothers Bob, Dale and Hal and sisters Betty Joe and Janet(Susie). Her sisters Ruby and Linda live in Indiana and her sister Beverly lives in New Mexico. Her brother Richard lives in the state of Washington. Delores, Paul, Freda and Karen are deseased.

The Family has grown ten fold in the last several decades. There are relatives scattered all over the United States. They all get together once every five years to share the memories and celebrate new additions to the Smyser Family.
