HINES - BURNS - OSBORNE (FAMILY TREE)

James Hines was born in North Carolina in 1813, more than likely he was born into slavery and given his slave owners last name. (Hines) He married Priscilla Spicer. In 1870 they resided in Tarbora North Carolina (Edgecombe County) along with their kids Hayes, Henry, and Sarah. James worked as a farm laborer. Hayes Hines married his cousin Lucinda Spicer, whom was the daughter of Robert Spicer, Priscilla's brother.

While in N.C. Hayes & Lucinda had 7 kids, (Henry, John, Hannah, Caroline, Frank, Charley, and Eliza). Around 1895 Hayes & Lucinda, along with her brother Rufus Spicer & family all headed for Texas. They made a stop in Mississippi where Jane Edwards, Rufus' wife, gave birth to their daughter Callie. In 1896 Hayes & Lucinda resided in Robertson County, TX. where they lived for awhile before moving to Brazos County, TX. During this time they had more kids, (Bettie, Fannie, Hattie, Harry, William, and Samuel). Hannah Hines grew up and married Julius Burns, this is how we became related to "The Burns". Fannie Hines grew up and married Esse Osborne, this is how we became related to "The Osbornes". Now we are all one big happy family.
