I am looking for information on the Snead family. Most of the Snead family relatives that I know about settled in Texas. Mostly the west Texas cities near Abilene and San Angelo. The farthest back that I know of is Israel Snead b. 1810 reportedly in N.C. and he married Sarah Jane Reynolds in Madison County, MS in 1833. They had 5 children in MS and then moved to Tyler County, TX. We have come a long way since then with family members having fought in the Civil War, and other American conflicts. If any of you out there have any information or stories about my line of the Snead family please send it to me so that I may post it here. Thanks!
