Family Tree Maker's Genealogy Site: User Home Pages: WRIGHT-ENGSTROM


I am researching the WRIGHT-WOOD ancestors, in particular: Roy Lewis WRIGHT and Jessie Mae WOOD, born in South Dakota with relatives in Iowa, Michigan, California. I am also researching the ENGSTROM-KWIECINSKI (aka KWEICINSKI, FINCH - some family members I'm told changed Kwiecinski to Finch after coming to America from Poland) surnames, in particular: ancestors of Adolph Reynold ENGSTROM and Estelle (Estella, aka "Stash", pronounced "stosh") KWIECINSKI, settled in Duluth - St. Paul, Minnesota areas, Michigan, and later in California, originally immigrating from Sweden (ENGSTROMs) and Poland (KWIECINSKIs). I am a few weeks away from publishing what I have found to date. Anyone with information, it would be greatly appreciated and I would be happy to share what I've found as well. Estelle Kwiecinski (40 KB) This is my paternal grandmother, Estelle Kwiecinski, photo taken at Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, CA in 1956 during a visit from Detroit, MI. She was 50 years old at the time, and she died in 1960 in Detroit, MI. Roy Lewis Wright (30 KB) This is my maternal grandfather, Roy Lewis Wright, born in Willow Lake, South Dakota in 1901. He worked hard all his life, supported his family the best way he knew how at all times and died with the twinkle still in his eye. Adolph Reynold Engstrom, Judy and Doug (54 KB) This is my brother and me with our father, taken in Duluth, MN on Easter Sunday, 1946. Dad was 25 years old at the time. Sara Mae Wright (19 KB) This is my mother at the age of 30, just before the move from Michigan to So. California, in March of 1954. Judith and Douglas Engstrom (83 KB) This is me with my brother, Douglas, taken late in 1945, in Charleston, South Carolina. We were waiting for Daddy to come home from the Army.
