Hi. I'm Rebecca (Becki) Snellenberg and would like to find descendants of my great grandfather, Aarte Snellenberg who came to the United States about 1898 from Holland. Aarte had two children by his first wife whose descendants may still be in Holland. He had a son, also named Aarte, who had children I believe to be Jacob and Jon and lived mostly in Rotterdam. His daughter Henrietta (also called Jetje) had a son named Peter Korting (sp?). She died in childbirth in 1889 in Appledorn.With my great-grandmother, Tryntje Ferverda, Aarte had 5 five sons, all of whom came to the United States with him. Their names were Alex, Evert, Dirk, Henry and Djurre. I would love to hear from anyone with any information and would be glad to share what information I have as well.
