* The John G Snead Family- South Carolina to Florida-200 Years*

Updated April 24, 2004

This is a work in progress. It covers 200 years of Snead history. I am a direct descendant of John G_____ Snead. He was born February 12, 1803. He died on January 18, 1878.
He had a total of thirteen children, from two different wives.
This was between the years of 1830 and 1846.
He was a school teacher. He was practioner of copperplate style writing. He tutored. He was a farmer. At the age of 58, He became a soldier and served with 3rd Battalion, Georgia Sharpshooters. He was a POW at Elmira, New York.
There are a few holes in our ancestry history. I hope to fill them in. Maybe some of my information can help fill yours. If you have anything to share, please, feel free.
Thank you for your time, and Good Luck in your research .
Sincerely,

William Harold Snead
Great-Great Grandson of
John G_______Snead
