2.Excerpts from the Carolina Gazette, Published in Charlestown, South Carolina by Timothy ( This is a weekly publication)
Sept 27 1752
On Tuesday last, arrived here, the ship Cunliff, Capt Clayter. from
Rotterdam, with 500 German passengers"
" A ship just arrived with German servants, all in perfect health (not one of them having died during the passage) amonst them are tradesmen of All sorts,
witch wil be indentured on very reasonable terms"
3.the early Snider in South Carolina.
There is evidence that there was a Jacob Snider in South Carolina prior to the arrival of Hans Jacob Schneider (ne: Snider) in 1752 aboard the ship Cunliff.
the earlier Jacob may have been the one who arrived on the ship Allen from Rotterdam, 15 Sept 1729, Master James Craigin.
4. I find no d ocumentation that Jacob and Regula Schneider had more two children-Anna and Hans Jacob there is however, a record of a William Snider whose will reference is made to his father, Jacob, to his brother, Jacob and to his son , Jacob and John and George.
the Herron family Geneaology found on the wwwgen. com shows that the daughter of George Snider, Barbara Snider, married William Jasper Sanford (samford)
