Here you will find information on some of our ancestors from the SNOW family of Russell County, Kentucky and the TAYLOR family of Nelson County, Kentucky. Some of the other common places within our families history includes: Clinton Co., Hardin Co., Bullitt Co., Jefferson Co., Washington Co., & Mercer Co. Some of our early ancestors have also been found coming from other states such as: Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia, and Georgia. Immigrants? Well I know the TAYLOR side of the family came from England (I think I still have a long way to go before I can really answer that one.) The U.S. Federal Census records have been my main source for all names, dates, marriages, and other information for generations living in the 1700, 1800, and some in the early 1900's. Some of the family information has come from my mother and other family members. To the best of my knowledge all information is true and accurate. This is an ongoing project and I am still building on this tree, I will be updating this tree with new information as I find it. I hope you find the information on this page about our family history as interesting and fun as I did in creating it.

Some answers to a few questions you might have....

How far back did I get?
Well, so far for the SNOW side of the family, I have been able to trace back to William Snow born around 1768 in Virginia and married Dorinda Perry. They were some of the early settlers of Clinton County, Kentucky, they moved from Virginia in 1800. The TAYLOR side I'm kind of stuck at 1895 in Kentucky, but I'm still working on it.

Why are there so many Surnames listed in the Surname Index, and why is there a question mark there?
When I created this page I had an option: to include everyone or just the people I chose. Well, I included ALL indivuals, so that is why ALL Surnames are listed. The question mark is the result of many unknown maiden names.

In the Index Of Individuals why are there only a few people with a notepad icon at the end of their name? Why not everyone?
That icon means that I was lucky enough to find some extra info about that person. Some examples are: Obituaries, birth records, marriage announcements, important information from census records (who lived with who a particular year), occupation, how many children living and deceased, etc.

How are they related to you?
Click on the InterneTree link below and go to SEARCH and then FIND....then by selecting a name it will display the branches of the tree, showing you the relation.

Why are there so many things repeated in your Sources link, and what is all that anyway?
Well, since you have to get your information from somewhere, you need to show where you found it. This includes everyones name, date of birth, marriage date, children, and date of death, if possible. Since most of my information came from many of the same census records because many families back then lived in the same town year after year, listing the source causes this repetition.

Why are the dates of some births and weddings left blank?
ALL DATES AND PERSONAL INFORMATION OF ALL LIVING INDIVIDUALS HAS BEEN PURPOSELY EXCLUDED FOR THEIR PRIVACY. If there is a date or any other information left blank on an individual who is deceased, I haven't been able to locate the information yet.
