William Homer Snowden (b. May 25, 1915, d. March 28, 1975)

William Homer Snowden (son of James Junius Clifton Snowden and Retta "Loretta" Bowling Mann) was born May 25, 1915 in Kentucky, and died March 28, 1975 in Scott Co., IN. He married Ayleen Robbins, daughter of William C. Robbins and Nannie "Nancy" Shackelford.

Notes for William Homer Snowden:
A member of the Austin Masonic Lodge No. 120, A member of the Austin First Baptist Church. He was a ham radio operator. He was a POW in World War II. He spent 4 months as a prisoner of the German army. He was drafted into the army in 1943. He was in the 334th Infantry 84th division Company "C". He lost a finger in the attack on him and his buddies. He received a back injury when a building caved in on him there. He was placed in the basement of a building in Holle, Germany.
