The Parten - Garrison Families Home Page

I am searching the Parten family which includes the names of Cotton, Stewart, Keel, Cabiniss, Thompson, Adair, Muldrow, Clay and Harrison. They came through VA, KY & SC into AL where they settled in Marengo Co., AL. I have tracked the names back to France and Ireland in the 1600's but want to find more definite connections and more complete information on the families.My mother, a Parten, married Davis Garrison, and settled in Selma, AL. The Garrisons came through VA or the Carolinas and moved to Perry Co., AL. My father married Minnie Davis and I have no other information on her.My grandfather, E. W. Garrison, married Minerva Bolling. I have a good bit of info on her family. Other family names I have uncovered thanks to WFT are: Doughty and Fitzgerald (was Adair), DeWolf.
