My 4th great-grandfather MALCOLM BLUE was b.c1775 on the Isle of Colonsay, Argyll, Scotland. His grandson DONALD BLUE was the first to leave Colonsay for Elderslie,Ontario,Canada. My 2nd great-grandfather HUGH BLUE b.1824, came to Elderslie after the death of his brother DONALD BLUE. Hugh's son Donald, my great-grandfather married ANNE CURRIE whose family also came from Colonsay.

I am also researching the MICHAEL LACY family from Tomoclavin, Queens County, Ireland. He married CATHERINE WHELAN abt. 1819 and they came to Perth, Lanark, Ontario, Canada sometime after 1835. They had two children, Michael, born March 18, 1830, and my great grandfather Jeremiah, born July 6, 1821.I am also researching the BERNARD JOSEPH HART Family from Canada. He married CATHERINE MARY SKELLY November 22, 1874 in Tottenham, Ontario, Canada. After their first child was born they moved to Grand Forks, ND where they owned a Hotel and Livery. They had 13 more children in Grand Forks.

    Great Grandfather Donald Blue started at the Grand Forks, North Dakota Police Force on May 4, 1898 and resigned on April 30, 1912. This picture was taken in 1908 during the term of Mayor J.D.
