| I am researching the Soiett Family and the Cruce (Cruse) families. The first Soiett I have found is Joseph Soiett who came to Maine from Canada in the early 1800's. I am also researching the Cruce's (Cruse's) from St. Mary Parish, La. James Cruce first appeared in the 1870 census of St. Mary Parish, La. His age was 14 and his birth place listed as Mexico and the census also inticated that his parents were living, although he was not living with them in the above mentioned census. I have no other information on him. I have not verified all the informaiton on this site yet. If you have any questions are can help with verification please contact me.
