Sarah Eudora Daniel (daughter of William Traynham Daniel and Harriet Annie Ballenger)^{260, 261, 262, 263, 264} was born 13 Apr 1891^{265, 266}, and died 22 Jul 1950^{266, 267}. She married Samuel Leonard Austin on 22 Jul 1914 in Landrum, SC^{268, 269}, son of James Alexander Austin and Mary Elizabeth Nash.

Sarah Eudora Daniel. She was the daughter of W.T. Daniel and Harriet Annie Bal lenger. She was born in the house her father built at the time of his marriage and she was raised there and gave birth to her four children in the same house . She had a very strong personality and was a devout Baptist. Her sibling, Ne ttie Lee Daniel Sevier, died eleven days after giving birth to her third child, Richard Sevier. Eudora (as she was called) and Samuel raised Richard with the ir other children. Her mother, Harriet (Hattie), lived with her until she died in 1947. Eudora died of breast cancer, preceding her husband.[Adrianne Austin.ftw]

The 1910 United States Federal Census of the Campobello Township in Spartanburg County South Carolina list on line 67 a Annie Daniel as Head of Household. She is a 48 year old widowed white female who could read and write, had 3 children of which 2 have survived to 1910. Both her parents were from South Carolina. She was a farmer on a "general farm" by occupation and owned her farm free and clear of a mortgage. However the census states an employee, though it is not clear if she was an employee on the farm or other job. Living with her was her 19 year old daughter, Eudora. Eudora could read and write and was not employeed.
Also living at the same residence was a 34 year old white, single boarder named Joe Peeler. Joe was a labor on a general farm. He could read and write.
