Frederick Ackerman, aged 12 years of 1,Queens Road, Mitcham was killed on Friday last (23rd May 1919), while playing on the London, Brighton & South Coast Railway, ( L.B. & S.C. Railway) near Ravensbury Crossing. His head ws crushed between the buffers of a shunting goods train. At the inquest on Tuesday a verdict of "Accidental Death" was returned.
