Sprankle Mausoleum, Woodland Cemetery
Burial place of immigrant William Sprenckel descendants - This beautiful gothic, cathedral-like mausoleum in Cuyahoga Co., OH's Woodland Cemetery was built by Rudolph Sprankle (1817-1898). Rudolph was the son of Peter Sprinkle & Elizabeth Walters; they moved from York Co. to Holmes Co., OH. Rudolph was a successful banker & entrepreneur. He married Mary Benford and they had two children, one of whom died at age 12. I do not know how many family members are interred in the mausoleum (photo courtesy of the photographer, Mary Ananea)
