Searching for information on the following names: CUDDEBACK GAGE ROUSE CONNER These are Michigan families back to the early l900's. Van Buren County. CUDDEBACK and GAGE go back to the l600's to the Revolutionary War. CUDDEBACK is French Hugenot, GAGE was British, perhaps the General Gage of Boston Tea Party fame. Watertown, New York for GAGE Massachusetts, New Hampshire, possibly Maine for ROUSE Ohio, Cromwell Indiana and Pennsylvania for any of the above names. I am having difficulty connecting the Michigan families to Ohio, Indiana, Pennsylvania Dutch, and New York and the earlier New England people. I know of two ancestors in the Revolutionary War and a William Conner in the Civil War. Perhaps we can connect! Am looking forward to hearing from you! |
