I am researching the Abraham Izaak van Dam family of Dordrecht, The Netherlands.
Abraham Izak (Izaak, Isaac) van Dam was born in Bonn, Germany in 1752, and he died in Dordrecht on April 4, 1825.
His father, likely resided in Bonn, and his name would have been Izak Abraham, son of Abraham Izak, but not likely van Dam, since the surname van Dam would probably have been adopted during residence in Dordrecht. To date I have not been able to trace the family's Bonn, Germany background any further.
Abraham Izak was married to Hendelina (Johanna)Witsteyn, daughter of Machiel Witsteyn (or Witstein)of Bonn, Germany. She died in Dordrecht in 1837. One of their sons,Isaac Abraham born Dordrecht 1797 was married to Jansje Soesman born in Heenvliet 1803; her father Philippus Soesman was born in Endenich near Bonn, Germany. Hyman Isaac, was born in Dordrecht on 15 July 1839 - he later settled in Antwerp and died in 1938 at age 99. He was married to Sara Andriessen and they had 9 children. Does anybody have information about the Antwerp van Dams?
I am also interested in the van Ploeg family.
Abraham Levy (Hamburg) was born in Hamburg in 1755, his wife Rachel in 1748. They moved to Rotterdam, The Netherlands, where Abraham died on 3 March 1798. After his death his wife Rachel adopted the name van Ploeg. She died on7 Jan. 1826. Again, the family's history trail ends in Hamburg, Germany.
Next, I have been researching the Soesman family. Soesman Wolff, father of Wolf and Philippus Soesman, was born in Endenich, near Bonn, in 1731. Before moving with his sons to Heenvliet, The Netherlands, his wife Jacomijntje died in 1785. He died in Geervliet on 27 June 1807. I have not been able to find any further information of the family's history prior to 1785.
And Philippus Soesman was married to Marianne Ephraim, born 1769 in Amsterdam and died in Heenvliet in 1821.
It would be appreciated if anybody could supply me with information about the Ephraim family of Amsterdam during that period.

Finally I like to find out more about the Kelsen family from Brody, Galicia. The parents of my paternal grandmother were Ekana Kelsen and Breindl Poniker.

I am also willing to share my information.
