I have done research on my family back to the 1300's. I do research on the Grenier/Garnie family. The first known member of this family, Colas Grenier, emigrated from Belgium/northern France to Sweden in 1633. He died in Åkerby bruk in Uppland 1664. I have done some extensive genealogy on his descendants, and would welcome any additional information. The French spelling of the name eventually changed to Garneij. Colas Grenier's son, Hubert Garnie (1636-1717), married Anna Touron.
I also do research on following British families;
* Livingston[e] of Islay, Scotland. Neil Livingstone, married
Flora Gilchrist, emigrated to Ontario, Canada in 1833.
* Blenkin of Yorkshire, England. Thomas Blenkin (1828-1919),
married Hannah Ruth Wheatley, emigrated to Canada.
* Putland of Kent & Sussex, England. Amos James Putland (1860-
1939) emigrated to Thorold, Ontario, Canada.
* Bembridge & Gould of Derbyshire, England. George Bembridge,
born 1832 in Bakewell. Mary Gould, born 1826 in Heathcote,
Hartington.
