Schmidt-Winters-Howard-Lile-Lucas and Some Related Lines

I began family research officially in 2000 on my maternal grandmother's Winters (AR Territory to Chickasaw Nation, IT into Jackson/Kiowa Co., OK) & Lile (Green Co., KY to Macon Co., MO to Kiowa Co., OK) lines. I have since continued into the Howard (MO to Chickasaw Nation, IT, to Old Greer Co., TX/Jackson Co., OK, & Washita/Kiowa Co., OK) Schmidt (Gardelegen, Germany to St. Louis, MO, to Lone Wolf, Kiowa, OK), Lucas (Adair/Macon Co., MO, to Kiowa Co., OK & others unknown), Reichart (Germany to York Co., PA, to Pottawattamie Co., IA, to Clovis, NM, to Kiowa/Greer Co., OK), Richardson (IN to IA), Gatrost or Getrost (Germany to York Co., PA to Pottawattamie Co., IA), Wales (Warren/Cannon Co., TN, to Murfreesboro, Rutherford, TN, to Port, Washita, OK, & Hobart, Kiowa, OK), McKelvy (SC to AL to Kiowa/Washita Co., OK) and other ancestral branches. I owe much credit to my late maternal grandmother, Hazel Winters Schmidt, who contributed much verbal information as well as pictures and record documents to me because of my interests in genealogy and passion for our family history. I must also thank those who have taken time to contribute their personal knowledge of their link in the family tree and understand the importance of sharing this knowledge. I have learned so much--not just of those who came before me, but of where I came from.

I welcome any novices and experts alike, please share what you can to help the tree grow. I am willing to share the information I have, including pictures & documents. If all you have is a picture of unknown person(s) or documents with names you don't recognize, chances are someone out there does. If you think it might fit this family puzzle, feel free to email me. Through my research, I have helped many relatives figure out who those unknown people are in their black & white photos. Remember, this will always be a work in progress, so any help is appreciated.
