SOUTHARD, MEEK, WILD, MUSSELMAN, CASTETTER


The Southards are from New England, North Carolina and migrated to Hamilton and Hancock counties in Indiana in the early 1800s. The Musselmans, Castetters and Meeks are also from Hamilton and Hancock counties in Indiana. The Wilds and Musselmans are from Germany and migrated to Hamilton Co. Indiana in the late 1800s and early 1900s. I have included reports for each of the family names above. There is also an extensive family tree for the Southard Family. Benjamin's wife Ila Crystal Castetter born to Benjamin and Edna Lieona McCarty Castetter on Oct 12, 1889. Benjamin and Ila/Castetter/Southard were married 28 March 1906.
  • Michael Jacob Castetter (159 KB)
    Michael Jacob Castetter son of Peter Castetter was born 09 September 1832 in Marion County Indiana. He married Sarah Elizabeth Heady daughter of Vincent and Polly Heady, 29 March 1854. Michael Castetter was a farmer and fought in the Civil War. He also owned hundreds of acres of what is now known as Fishers, Hamilton Co., Indiana.
