       3. Leonard W.2 Wild (Leonard1) was born September 27, 1862 in Bremstadt, Germany, and died November 24, 1942 in Noblesville, In.. He married Mary Odelia Musselman December 01, 1892 in Clare, In., daughter of John Musselman and Mary Kauffman.

OBITUARY OF: LEONARD W. WILD

Leonard W. Wild, known among his circle of friends as "Lennie", died early Saturday at his home, 1195 Clinton St, following an illness of a year. For nine weeks he was confinded to bed.

Services, in charge of Rev. E.J. Wichersham, of the First Methodist Church, will be held at the Coaltrin funeral home at 2:pm,. Monday. Burial will occur beside his wife in Crownland cemetery. Mrs. Wild passed away last January. Friends may call a the mortuary at any time until the sevices.

Born in Bremstadt, Germany, in 1862, a son of Leonard and Appolina (Burger) Wild, the deceased came to Noblesville, July 26, 1883, and went to the home of the late Leonard Wild, father of Mrs. Henry Gaeth, and was employed on the farm of Mr. Wild for several years. Some time later he went into the grocery business for himself and for about 25 years conducted a store in the room on the east side of the public square now occupied by Miller-Jones Company. For several years after he sold his store he was employed in the plant of the N.O. Nelson Manufacturing Company.

His marriage to Miss Odelia Musselman of the Refuge neighborhood occurred in December, 1892. He was a birthright member of the Luthern Church in Bremstadt but always attended the Methodist church in this city.

He was a former member of the K. of P. and I.O.O.F. lodges and for many years identified with the Uniform Rank of the Knights of Pythias

The children who survive are Earl Wild, Noblesville; John Wild, of Bridgeport In.; Carl Wild, Demarest N.J. and Mrs. Mabel Burton, Frank Wild and Miss Alice Wild, of Noblesville, who has been secretary to the superintendent of the Noblesville city schools for many years.

A daughter, Mrs. Mary Wild Bowen, died in 1937. A sister, Mrs. Anna Ebesle, of Peoria, Ill. and the following grandchildren ar also living: George (Bud) Bowen, of Oak Park Ill. Mary Marie Wild and John Leonard Wild of Bridgeport and Francis Jean and Marjorie Wild of Noblesville. Four brothers are deceased.

Mr Wild was an active member of the Business Men's Bible class of the First Methodist church.

OBITUARY OF: MARY ODELIA MUSSELMAN WILD

Mrs. Mary Odelia Wild, aged 76 years, wife of Leonard W. Wild, passed away Friday night at the family residence, 1195 Clinton street, after having been in poor health for two years. While she was able to be up and around the house most of the time, her condition became much worse a few weeks ago and it has been known ths past fortnight that she could not recover.

Services in charge of Rev. Harry Homer of the First Methodist church, will be held at the Coaltrin funeral home at 2:pm Monday, and burial will take place in Crownland cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary at any time until the hour for the services.

Mrs. Wild was a daughter of John and Mary Musselman, pioneer residents of the eastern part of the county and was born Dec 29, 1865. She was the last of a family of five brothers and one sister. Her marriage to Mr. Wild occured Dec 1, 1892. and they spendt all of their married life in Noblesville. She was an active member of the Methodist church, centered much of her time around her home and her family, and had a large circle of friends.

She is survived by the husband, who was engaged in the grocery business in Noblesville many years and later employed at the plant of the N.O. Nelson Manufacturing Company and the following children: Earl Wild, Noblesville, employed in the office of the Schacht Rubber Company: Miss Alice Wild, secretary to the Superintendent of the Noblesville city schools and assistant secretary to the local School Board: Carl Wild, of Englewood NJ. Mrs. Mabel Burton, wife of William Burton, at home; John Wild of Bridgeport In. and Frank Wild a former assistant cashier in the American National Bank, Noblesville, but now a member of the board of the State Board of Accounts. A daughter, Mrs. Mary Marie Wild Bower, died in Oak Park, Ill. four years ago and was buried here.

There are five granchildren who survive. They are Buddie Bower, of OakPark Ill; Mary Marie Wild and John L Wild, children of John Wild, and Frances Jean and Marjorie Ann Wild, children of Frank Wild

Mrs. Wild was also an active member of the Eastern Star for a long time.
