1. William Henry Clay⁶ Allen (David⁵, David⁴, William³, Robert², Robert¹)¹ was born September 11, 1854, and died October 22, 1930. He married (1) Mary Frances (Frankie) Lanter, daughter of Ewell Lanter and Rachel Carr. She was born February 15, 1885, and died January 11, 1984 in Lexington, KY. He married (2) Lutie Montgomery Anderson² October 27, 1887, daughter of John Anderson and Mary Oxley. She was born April 6, 1862, and died August 30, 1900.

Owned farms on the Allen Pike and in Connersville, Harrison County, KY. He lived on a forty acre farm in Jacksonville, Bourbon Co., KY.

Notes for Mary Frances (Frankie) Lanter:
Frankie's recipe for Chicken Casserole.

6 slices of bread (crust cut off)
1 lb. cooked chicken of turkey
1/2 lb. cheese
1/2 stick melted margarine
1/2 teasp. dry mustard
1/2 teasp. salt
3 whole eggs
1 pint milk

Break up slices of bread. Put 1/2 of it in casserole dish (I use 9 x 13 inch dish). Arrange 1/2 of the chicken over it. Add 1/2 of the broken cheese. Then add the rest of chicken, bread, and sliced cheese.
Beat well the eggs, mustard, salt, and milk and also pour over mixture. Let sit overnight, Bake at 350 degrees. until done.
