I am the 4th great-grandson of William Allen who first came to America from Ireland in 1729 and landed at Philadelphia. Before coming to Loudoun County, VA in 1762, William lived northwest of Trenton, in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. He later owned Red Hill Plantation in Virginia.

My research has rewarded me with the pleasure of locating and visiting William's home on his Red Hill Plantation in Virginia near Arcola (then called Gum Springs). Also, I am blessed with being able to clean, restore and identify the family cemetery located on the plantation.

If you have information about any branch of the William Allen tree, I would be pleased to share names, dates and other information with you. God bless!

WILLIAM ALLEN (1711-1799) of Arcola, Virginia
