| I am searching for information on Alfred Downing and Mary E Place.They were deaf mutes. Family lore says they met at a deaf school in Dayton Ohio. They lived in Monroe Twp Allen Co Ohio. They had two sons Adam Layfayette Downing and John Roy Brisco Downing. Alfred was born in 1837 and Mary ? They were married 5-24-1860 by Rev James Downing I have no death dates and can find no burial place They are not in any marked graves with all of the other family members in Monroe Twp Allen Co Rockport Cemetery, Rockport Ohio.
