SPAWFORTH is the family name based in Wakefield England.Most of the family that we know of have direct relationships with my grandparents who lived here and their ascendants back to the seventeenth century. Wakefield has the tallest spire in Yorkshire on its Cathedral. It is the County Town of the old West Riding of Yorkshire. Robin Hood was born here in the twelfth century and after becoming an outlaw was renowned in Nottingham. I would be pleased to hear from any Spawforths anywhere please. Do make contact.
