The Gostelow Family Home Page

I am researching my Gostelow family originally from Northamptonshire.
The earliest member was William from Mollington 1496, he obtained a B.A on June 1513,about the age of 16 years.

The Gostelows were a succesful and well educated family and described as the Gostelow Gent, purchasing Thorpe Mandeville Manor and Prescott Manor in Cropredy.

Sir Walter Gostelow 1604 obtained an M.A - Corpus Christi and was intimate friend of the Charles 11.

Early 1800's the family moved to various parts Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire and became farmers but the changes in farming and land ownership brought about by enclosures in the 18th Century changed the lives of the family, many migrating to the towns and emigrating to the States and Australia.
