We are new to this data page, but we are using some of the resources we've purchased, subscribed to, and made available by the sharing of others, to render a more acurate and up-to-date profile of the families of:

George Edgar and Lantie Cecil Morris PATE!

For at least (3) generations prior to George; they were Farmers, and traveled also as Farm Labor. The Morris' were also farmers, as well as other trades.
PARENTS OR GRANDPARENTS OF THESE IN US MILITARY SERVICE, THEIR RECORDS WILL BE ADDED LATER.

George E. was born in Montgomery County, Arkansas, on 18 DEC 1896, to parents named:
William H. Pate and Nancy Emily Cogburn Pate. ( have more to add of each lineage later)
Lantie C. was born on 9 DEC 1894, Indian Territory, Choctaw Nation, now called LeFlore Co,Summerfield, Ok, to parents named:
James Louis Morris/NC and Cordelia J Upton/MO. ( have more to add of each lineage later)

George and Lantie married in 1911-12, probably in Summerfield/Red Oak, Oklahoma, where Lantie C. (Morris) was from. Because of the lack of viewable data online for Oklahoma, and not much family documentation, we can only be "close" in some guesses.

For now, we have George with Father and Mother, William H. and Nancie Emily Cogburn Pate, in 1900 Census in the Indian Territory, Choctaw Nation, Ok. We also have George with parents in Latimer County, Ok/Red Oak Twp. 1910 Census.

The 1920 Census brings George and Lantie married, and in the LeFlore County, Ok/Summerfield Twp. & 1930 Census, in Jim Wells County, Texas.

We are currently gathering available SSI data on the family members, which is also proving difficult, but we go on...

Through the Geneology Forum; we have already been helped greatly by one Jinks Pate Lee, and others that offer a great service.
Montgomery County, AR, WebProject, also has helped with their assistants offerings, along with the OKGENWEB Project with it's extensive links.

We are gathering photos and trying to assemble a phsical album of assorted documents for the present family members to enjoy, as well as Digital copies for other family members requests. It's not all organized yet, but available for use.

The OKCHS has archived much data, and we chose to shoot digital images untouched, thus the lack of time so far for organization.
We travel in work, and have been in OK for a little more than 2 yrs., of which we also gather the names of other PATES< MORRIS< UPTON<COGBURN, and have also started the attempt of trace the Smith, Cecil?, father of the (2) girls of Elsie.

Will add ASAP to this existing.! Nothing added yet for the girls father Cecil ? but we have had one member join PATE DNA, to confirm our line back as we have traced somewhat. Will add when possible, and that cannot be often at present.
