In 1820 Whitaker Butler drew land in the Georgia Land Lottery. He was living in McClendon's district of Jasper County, Ga, but may have lived very close to Morgan County. Whitaker was listed as an "orphan."
In 1830 Whitaker was in Hall County, GA. Also living in Hall County were Daniel Butler and John Butler. I believe they were Whitaker's brothers.

The name Whitaker may have been the maiden name of his mother. If you have any information as to who Whitaker's father was, please contact me. I have much downline information I would like to share.

Vicky Butler Abbott
