The John F. Speight Family Home Page

Working on Speights in or from North Carolina and Tidewater Virginia. My own ancestor was John Speight who was found in Marlboro Co, SC in 1820, origins unknown, but moved to now Stanly Co, NC between 1846 & 1848. Am interested especially in Speights that moved through South Carolina during the last 25 years of the 1700s and the first 20 years of the 1800s. Surnames on my Speight side include Hinson, Eudy, Whitley, Hatley, Harkey, Moose, Boshardt, Foreman, Barbee, Sides, Bowers, Whittington, Hinson, and, of course, Speight.
