Family members are located in Australia, and New Zealand as well as those who have remained in England since our earliest known ancestor lived in Stoke Lyne about 1700.

I would love to hear from anyone with links to John and Mary Butler from Stoke Lyne. Also it would be great to solve the mystery of who exactly Mary was, where they married, and where they originally came from?

My twig on the tree begins with Henry, eldest son of Richard and Rhoda who lived in the Tollgate at Fringford near Stoke Lyne. Henry married Elizabeth Whitfield in Lancashire and then emigrated to Australia in 1870.

Henry and Elizabeth, after a brief stay in Mackay, became the first white settlers on Magnetic Island off the North Queensland coast.
